I am a development economist, specialising in administrative tax data, public finance, and applied policy research. My work combines research, policy engagement, and capacity building, with a focus on tax administration, tax policy, and strengthening domestic revenue mobilisation through better data and evidence.
Currently, I lead the Tax Research for Development project as a Research Fellow at UNU-WIDER in Helsinki. In this role, I coordinate collaborative research and policy partnerships across several African countries, working closely with revenue authorities and research partners to generate evidence for tax administration reform, support secure access to sensitive tax data through tax data labs and strengthen local capacity through training and knowledge exchange.
My research relates to public economics, labour economics, and development policy, with a particular focus on how administrative data can improve public decision-making. I regularly contribute to policy dialogues, workshops, conferences, and convenings on taxation, data systems, and revenue mobilization in Africa.
